Marigold Flowers, Marietta, Georgia
We named the shop after the marigold because it's the least precious flower we know — cheerful, hardy, a little untidy, and impossible to be sad around. That's the standard we hold our work to. Marigold Flowers is a small florist serving Marietta and the neighborhoods around it, making hand-tied bouquets, wedding florals and weekly office arrangements from a workroom that always smells faintly of eucalyptus and wet stems.
How we think about flowers
Good arrangements look gathered, not assembled. We build loose and asymmetrical, with room for air between the stems and at least one thing in there that's a little wild — a bent branch, a seed pod, a flower that's already halfway open. We buy seasonally because seasonal flowers are simply better: they've traveled less, they last longer in your vase, and they make each month of the year look different from the last. And we stay small on purpose. Taking on fewer weddings and fewer orders per day is the only way we know to keep every single one of them personal.

Every stem is conditioned, cut and checked before it goes into an arrangement. If something isn't right, it doesn't go out.
